About RERAA shared responsibility for the next generation
RERA Rwanda is a social enterprise dedicated to raising children who thrive emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually by strengthening families, caregiving, and family-friendly systems.
The earliest years of a child's life lay the foundation for lifelong wellbeing. Yet too many children grow up without the consistent, nurturing care they need because the families raising them are not adequately supported.
Mothers, who are often the primary caregivers, frequently carry the greatest share of caregiving responsibilities while also pursuing education, employment, entrepreneurship, or career growth. Without the right support, many women face difficult trade-offs between nurturing their children and achieving their personal and professional aspirations. This is not simply a women's issue — it is a child development issue, an economic issue, and a societal issue.
At RERA, we believe no mother should have to choose between reaching her full potential and giving her child the nurturing care they need to thrive. We also believe that raising the next generation is a shared responsibility.
That is why we strengthen families, caregiving, and family-friendly systems by equipping parents, professionalizing caregiving, and partnering with employers, communities, and policymakers to create environments where children thrive, families flourish, and women can fully participate in education, employment, and leadership.
Our belief
When mothers are surrounded by the support systems they need, they are better able to nurture their children and pursue both their personal and professional aspirations. As a result, children thrive, families flourish, and communities prosper.
Our approachWe believe raising children is a shared responsibility
That's why our work focuses on strengthening:
01
Families
Parents equipped with the skills, confidence, and support to nurture their children well.
02
Caregiving
Caregivers trained and respected as professionals and trusted partners to families.
03
Family-friendly systems
Workplaces, policies, and communities designed so families can flourish.
Because when families are supported, children thrive.
Let's build environments where children thrive and families flourish
We partner with employers, government institutions, NGOs, foundations, and international
organisations to strengthen the systems that shape a child's earliest years.
